Integrasi Nilai Filsafat Jawa dalam Praktik Konseling Sekolah Menengah: Systematic Literature Review
Keywords:
Javanese philosophy, school counseling, cultural values, multicultural competence, character educationAbstract
This study examines the integration of Javanese philosophical values in secondary school counseling practices. The research explores core values including andhap asor (humility), tepa selira (empathy/tolerance), guyub (togetherness), rukun (harmony), gotong-royong (mutual cooperation), and unggah-ungguh (courtesy). Using systematic literature review methodology, 50 studies were analyzed to identify integration approaches, implementation challenges, counseling effectiveness, and multicultural competence development. Findings reveal that culturally-embedded models enhance student empathy, social harmony, and character development. However, empirical validation remains limited. Implementation challenges include adapting traditional practices to contemporary education, generational transitions, and digital communication barriers. Culturally-relevant narratives and rituals reinforce identity affirmation. Integration of Javanese values enhances multicultural competence by fostering intercultural respect and social cohesion. This review informs culturally responsive counseling frameworks aligning indigenous wisdom with contemporary educational goals.
